Dr Emma-Karin graduated in 2015 from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, she also has a PHD in biochemistry engineering from the University of Queensland. Emma-Karin grew up in Sweden around race horses, her older sister was a professional trainer, her recollection is being woken up in the middle of the night by her sister to help her with a horse and be present during procedures, this occurred regularly.
During foaling season she assisted with a birth and hence commenced the drive to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She has worked both in Sweden and in Queensland at various practices and has worked at the clinic since 2021. When you ask Emma-Karin why she chose a career working with animals ‘It is because I care about the welfare of animals, it is in my nature’. Dr Emma-Karin performs soft tissue surgery, and medical consultations.
If you walk in on her consults they are receiving the best of care and lots of cuddles and attention.
